It’s a cold start for coach Johan Roijakkers and his Bambergers: just under a week and a half before the start of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL), the newly formed team has to qualify for the Champions League on Wednesday (4 p.m.).
It was only on Monday that it became clear what the Bamberg’s opponents would be called in the semi-finals in Tallinn: As expected, the Lithuanian club Juventus Utena won the quarter-finals of Group C with 90:68 (45:34) against the Austrian representative SB Kapfenberg.
