BADMINTON Ikast FS opened the season in the 1st division on Monday night with a home game at Nordre Skole against ABC Aalborg.
Nine showdowns are to be played in a team match, and Ikast won the seven of them and thus the match 7-2. This means that the team can deposit 10 points into the account.
– It was really nice. There were many good performances throughout the evening, says IFS coach Sune Gavnholt. – Of course it was really cool to play a match together again. It is something different than when you go to the individual tournaments. But conversely, it has also been positive that in the long break without a team tournament we have been able to focus individually on the players. All other things being equal, this has not been a disadvantage for their development, says Sune Gavnholt.
