Badminton: a section for competition in Plouha

The badminton association called ” The Chacaux with colds »Has just created a section intended for competition.

This section will be edited by Jennifer Cuinet which explains :

“There were several of us who wanted to compete. There is a good atmosphere between us. “

Monday training

This section is open from 15 years old. It becomes a club and is affiliated with the federation.

Training takes place on Mondays from 6:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Pass’Sport hall. The section will be coached by Philippe Muller.

The competitions take place during 5 Sundays during the year.

“We are going to start at the bottom of the ladder, at the departmental level: we are starting in D4. We will not be able to evolve during the year but only at the end. “

Tournaments from November

Interclub tournaments are also planned. They will start from November.

The contribution is set at 65 €. “Most of this sum goes to the federation.”

A medical certificate and the health pass are mandatory.

80 members

The association, chaired by Michel Letertre, has around 80 members. It was created in December 2003.

The activity takes place in the new and old gymnasium all year round (including during school holidays) in 3 slots per week: Monday at 6.15 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday at 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

For training, the association can install 9 badminton courts in the Pass’Sport room.

The contribution, maintained at 5 €, is mainly used for the purchase of steering wheels. Rackets belong to the players.
