ATP> ATP will crack down on toilet breaks and medical downtime

While the toilet breaks in particular “ignited” the first week of the US Open largely because of Stefanos Tsitsipas who enraged Andy Murray during his first round by going out twice for nearly 10 minutes each time, it seems that ATP has decided to legislate.

Indeed, and according to an internal source, the Association of Professional Tennis Players would have every intention of regulating these breaks by the start of the 2022 season: “There will also be a change in the rules regarding toilet breaks and medical time out in the field. I hope that before the start of the next season in January we will have a stricter rule regarding bathroom breaks and medical timeouts ”, this source told Reuters and relayed by Tennis Majors.
