Mith 1000 fans in the back, the basketball players from Alba Berlin have reported back in the playoff semifinals of the Bundesliga. Two days after the 71:73 defeat, the Berliners equalized on Tuesday thanks to a 92:78 victory in the best-of-five series against ratiopharm Ulm.
After 35 home games in front of empty ranks, the Berliners started wide awake and led after three minutes with 9: 0. The emotions in the stands made things harder on the field as well. In the second quarter the game seemed to tip over, because Ulm reduced the gap to 30:34 (16 th). In this phase, the weakened replacement master made too many ball losses.
But after a break, the hosts recovered and managed the lead until the end of the third section. The Baden-Württemberg team weakened themselves, however, because Dylan Osetkowski was excluded after a technical and an unsportsmanlike foul. In the final quarter, Berlin quickly removed the last doubts. The series continues on Thursday in Ulm. The team that gets three wins first moves into the BBL final.
