3×3 basketball: Serbs cover themselves with glory in Montreal

The Serbian Ub team won top honors in the men’s segment of the 3×3 World Series of Basketball, presented at the Quartier des spectacles in Montreal on Sunday.

In the final, the winners signed a 21-15 victory over Amsterdam Talent & Pro. Strahinja Stojacic was selected as MVP of the event presented in the Quebec metropolis. The 29-year-old scored 12 points in the final and amassed a total of 40 points in five games during the competition.

This is a second consecutive victory for Ub, who also covered themselves with glory last week in Hungary.

Three Canadian teams took part in the competition. The club from Winnipeg had the best result with a sixth place finish. Edmonton ended the event in eighth place, while the Montreal reps finished 12th and last.

Regarding the individual events, Piotr Grabowski (Poland) won the dunk competition and Karlis Lasmanis (Latvia) dominated the shooting event.
