Transfer Talk. Praet on his way to Torino – Chevalier surprisingly moves to Mouscron – Leganés as a way out for Dessers | Sport

Transfer TalkThe end of the summer mercato is approaching, but there is still something to come. The imminent mega transfer of Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid) has football-loving Europe in its grip. And there is still something in the air in Belgium. On this page you are in the right place for all the transfer news from home and abroad!

Chevalier exchanges Kortrijk for Mouscron

A big surprise: Teddy Chevalier leaves KV Kortrijk and moves to Mouscron. Rachid Alioui will normally be his replacement. The 29-year-old Moroccan comes from the French Angers and scored seven times in 32 matches. Chevalier’s (34) contract expired at the end of this season. He has been sidelined in every game this season. Especially against STVV, the Frenchman couldn’t laugh at that and hit the top of the bench ferociously. Chevalier has already scored twice this season. This news comes as a surprise. The French striker is very popular with the supporters of the Veekaa. (IVDA)

Praet almost certainly to Torino

Dennis Praet’s transfer to Torino already seems almost complete. The Red Devil has already passed his medical tests. The Italian club wants to rent him for a year, with a purchase option of 15 million euros. Praet no longer gets off the couch at The Foxes. He also did not play against Norwich on Saturday. His breakthrough at Leicester never came. Praet already played three seasons in Serie A before his transfer to the Premier League. Torino is looking for urgent reinforcements after a 0 on 6. (KTH)

Lukebakio to Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg gets another Belgian. After Sebastiaan Bornauw previously went to the German subtopper, it is now Dodi Lukebakio’s turn (23). The attacker is on loan for a year by Hertha Berlin. This season he made three appearances for Hertha and scored one goal against Wolfsburg. Lukebakio has played in Germany since 2019, after he was snatched from Watford for around 20 million euros. At Wolfsburg he has to compete with ex-Anderlecht striker Lukas Nmecha.

It’s a busy day for Lukebakio, because he is expected at the training complex of the Red Devils this afternoon. After all, he is in Roberto Martínez’s 31-man squad for next week’s triptych.

Exit Dessers?

Cyriel Dessers, striker on a siding at Racing Genk, is on his way to Spain. CD Leganés, a club from the Spanish second division, shows great interest.

Cyriel Dessers is on his way to the exit at Racing Genk. After the arrival of Iké Ugbo, who scored the winning goal against Anderlecht, there was not even room for Dessers on the bench. He eventually dropped out and had to take a seat in the stands. “I don’t regret my choices,” said Van den Brom. Whether a solution should not be found for Dessers in the very short term? “That choice is not mine”, replied Van den Brom briefly. That solution now seems to be in the works. Racing Genk is currently talking to CD Leganés, which would take over Dessers for a year on a rental basis. The board would also like to see Dessers play football in a Genk shirt after 1 September. But can you do that to that boy? Last season as top scorer in the Eredivisie was brought in for four million euros. For Dessers it was a whole season gnashing his teeth on the bench behind his unapproachable compatriot Paul Onuachu.

A departure of Dessers in Genk was always linked to the Onuachu file. But it seems more and more that the great striker of Genk will no longer leave this transfer period. As a result, a departure of Dessers is suddenly negotiable. All the more so because after a week of training Iké Ugbo has already passed him in Van den Brom’s pecking order. CD Leganés is in 18th place in the Spanish Segunda Division after three match days, last Saturday they lost 1-2 to Ibiza at home.

Manchester City breaks contract of Player of the Year Ruben Dias

Manchester City have extended Ruben Dias’ contract for a year until 2027. The 24-year-old central defender switched from Benfica to the Citizens in September last year. He immediately turned out to be a permanent fixture in Pep Guardiola’s team. His strong performances earned the Portuguese several individual awards, such as Premier League Player of the Year (following teammate Kevin De Bruyne) and the accolade presented by the written press (FWA Award). Dias was also named best defender in last season’s Champions League.

‘I am very happy with this new deal,’ says Dias. “Since coming to City last year I have loved every minute of it. Playing for City has exceeded all my expectations and it is a real pleasure to be part of such a team.”

Ajax defender to Anderlecht today

Without any surprises, RSC Anderlecht will complete the arrival of Lisandro Magallan today. The 27-year-old defender is rented from Ajax for a year. The final details are being finalized today. The team from Amsterdam bought the Argentinian from Boca Juniors in 2019 for 9 million euros, but he was unable to continue in the ArenA, in the end the right-footed player was rented out twice before.

Now that Hannes Delcroix may be out for a long time – there are still investigations planned this week – Anderlecht are not big on the central defenders. Magallan is the appropriate replacement in that regard. And so the incoming homework is off purple and white.

Outgoing, Anderlecht let Elias Cobbaut (23) leave for Parma on a rental basis (with purchase option). You can think: if RSCA wanted a central defender after all, wouldn’t it have been easier to keep the Malinois on board? Within Anderlecht, however, belief in Cobbaut had shrunk so much that people quickly abandoned that line of thought.

Nusa signs with Club today

The future belongs to the youth, believes Club. That is why it is in advanced negotiations with Stabæk Fotball about Antonio Nusa, their 16-year-old goldcrest. Nusa is a Danish youth international, who has 3 goals after 11 matches in ‘Eliteserien’. The left winger is already in Belgium and already visited the Belfius Basecamp yesterday. Club will finalize the deal today and will put a whopping 3 million on the table for the 16-year-old.

Mboyo in the picture at AA Gent

AA Gent may realize an incoming transfer at the end of the summer mercato. In the entourage of Ilombe Mboyo it can be heard that the striker of Sint-Truiden would conduct negotiations with the Buffalos. The now 34-year-old Mboyo previously played football for AA Gent between 2011 and 2013. He only made the switch from KV Kortrijk to Sint-Truiden in January, but might already leave for Stayen.
