Tonneins. The Tonneinquais coached and led by champions

The Tonneinquais Judo-Club was created on June 16, 2011 following the termination of UST Judo. The courses are taught by the state certified professor Samuel Barbut since the beginning. A competitor at heart, he continues to teach this sport while also continuing to compete, notably through the European and World Championships as veteran amateurs. High level, he was in his youth champion of France and more recently gold medalist at the amateur Olympic Games in Nice in 2015 and finally silver medalist at the European Canary Islands Championship in 2019. He has trained judokas who have also shone in departmental, regional and national competitions of all ages.

The current leadership team is made up of practitioners. President Sonia Da Rocha, judokate 3 times bronze medalist at the French corporate championship, at the European championship in Amsterdam and at the world championship in Malaga in 2014. The treasurer Philippe Molinie is a practicing judoka. Secretary Stéphanie Boselli is a practitioner of self-defense and body combat judo.

The club has trained and continues to train hundreds of judokas from 3 years old to over 50 years old and supports them in obtaining their black belt in particular. Young people have also obtained their first dan including 2 students the last season when Lena Moulinie became regional champion in Aquitaine in 2020.
