the second free Women’s Basketball Campus is coming in the city »Municipality of Córdoba

The Municipality of Córdoba together with the Córdoba Basketball Association (ACBB) will carry out the second free Women’s Basketball Campus in Córdoba. It will take place in two days on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September, at the Club Unión Eléctrica facilities, located at 2599 O’Higgins Street.

The event, aimed at girls and young people from 6 to 13 years old interested in learning and enhancing their skills, has as its main objectives the dissemination of women’s basketball in the region, as well as to motivate sports initiation and focus on the talents belonging to them. to different clubs.

Registration is free and free, with limited places, and can be done at the following link.

At the meeting, the corresponding health protocols will be applied dividing the participants into small groups, in two shifts, in the morning from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and in the afternoon from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The teachers will train the assistants for two days, teaching and exercising coordination, balance, speed and rhythm, using the game as the main resource for development.

The Campus is organized by the Government Secretariat of the Municipality of Córdoba, through the Subsecretariat of Sports, together with the Cordovan Association of Basketball (ACBB), with the accompaniment of the Federation of Basketball of the Province of Córdoba (FBPC) , the Association of Technicians and Trainers in Basketball of the Argentine Republic (ATEBARA), Cordovan Association of Technicians of Basketball (ACOTEBA) and the Córdoba Sports Agency.

In this sense, the Secretary of Government, Miguel Siciliano stressed that “The effort and joint work between the public sector, from the municipal government and the private sector, such as clubs and sports entities in Cordoba, gives enormous results. Carrying out this second meeting for free for girls and young people in the city is part of the gender, sports and social policies that we carry out from the management ”.

ABOUT THE FIRST WOMEN’S BASKETBALL CAMPUS

In February of this year, the First Women’s Basketball Campus was held. The event took place at the revalued General Paz Sports Center, a historical icon of local sports that, with the renovation works, received professional and amateur athletes from the city.

With full quotas according to what is allowed, FemBásquet had the participation of 131 players from 23 clubs in the provincial capital; 11 teachers who planned the event; and the visit of the former player of the Argentine Basketball team, Silvina Trapiella.
