The PDM offers 44 activities and 10,000 places for the course

Pablo García, Councilor for Sports of the Toledo City Council, reports that the Municipal Sports Board season will take place between October 1 and May 31 with a “record” offer of 10,000 seats distributed in 44 activities, three camps (summer and Easter and Christmas), the 7-a-side football and futsal leagues, the subscriber programs and the ‘No one without sports’ program. Registration in person (at one of the facilities) or online (through the PDM website) can be done from September 1 to 15 for those registered and from September 16 for those not registered with individual, family and large family tickets (from the fifth member) with the same prices as this year.

The councilor indicates that this year they have prepared seven novelties, among which the Easter and Christmas camps stand out because they have proven that they are successful during the holidays and help to reinforce the conciliation of parents.

There is also an inclusive canoeing offer in Paraplegics (he points out that giving everyone options is a priority objective as has already been done with athletics and badminton), chess in the classrooms of the Polígono pool within the commemoration of King Alfonso X as promoter of this sport, the youth league of futsal, beach volleyball, aquatic therapy and summer nights (with diving, hiking or gymkhanas). They repeat two successful activities such as night walks and hiking trails.

In summary, it says that it is a wide offer in which everything will reach all neighborhoods and with activities from baby ages to adults.

García recalls that we are going through a difficult time for sports management since the pandemic has forced schools to temporarily close and to reduce activity capacity to prioritize safety, with constant changes of protocol for hygiene and disinfection.

From that point of view, he expresses his gratitude to each PDM worker, to those of the cleaning contracts (Limasa) and of sports activities and also highlights the responsibility of the users since between all they have achieved that in these facilities there has not been any “Not a suspicion” of covid case. “They have proven to be up to the task, creating Safety Protocols in all facilities, providing hygienic material and no incidents have been recorded.”
