The Knicks are pushing for a big name in the East!

Determined to strengthen their squad to post better performances on the side of the Eastern Conference, the Knicks have targeted a big name to improve their racket. Unfortunately for them, the negotiations are not progressing for the moment.

Often announced at the bottom of the Eastern Conference, the Knicks thwarted many predictions last season by reaching the playoffs. Better yet, the franchise managed to take home advantage, all only to be cut short by the Hawks in the first round. The result is not what we hoped for, but the promises are many.

With RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and of course Julius Randle, New York has an axis on which to build for the future. Now, with money and many draft rounds in the future, it’s about making the right choices to place this team at the top of their conference.

This summer is a good starting point, since the Knicks have the biggest cap space of free agency: around $ 51M for the coming weeks, enough to do some good deals. Be careful, however, not to throw your money down the drain. It’s a matter of choosing the right one, and the front office has a first target in mind: the backbone of the Pacers, Myles Turner.

Still under contract, Turner can shine in attack, but he is best known for his ability to protect the circle (3.4 blocks last year on average). According to journalist J. Michael, New York is pushing hard to try to get it back. The problem is that the Pacers maintain their “no” for the moment. Even if the franchise is not in a good position in the East, it refuses to blow up its roster. That could change within a few weeks.

The Knicks try to convince the Pacers to part ways with Myles Turner. For the moment, that does not happen, in particular because of the free agency which arrives. They are not in a rush to detonate their roster.

The Knicks are looking to strengthen their racquet with Myles Turner, but the Pacers are not yet sellers. The free agency could settle all this, even if the outcome is very uncertain. It is in any case acquired: New York wants to create some waves for this summer.
