The High Performance Center of Cancun prepared to receive athletes

Cancun.- The CEDAR of Cancun is prepared to receive young athletes who will continue their training programs and their educational training, for which an agenda has been structured for the opening of the new period.

The 2021-2022 school and sports cycle at the Cancun State High Performance Sports Center begins this September 1 with the entry of athletes in the internship modality, under the guidelines for the health care of its members.

The inter-institutional team of the Commission for Youth and Sports of Quintana Roo, awaits the arrival of the group of athletes to carry out the Covid protocol, with the respective tests, prior to entering the villages of Cedar, where they will also be received by staff from internal life, prefecture, infirmary and kitchen.

“The athletes from the first day will go through a series of tests and interviews, from the medical, nutrition and psychology areas, for the integration of their respective records for this school and sports period” commented the head of the COJUDEQ, Antonio López Finch.

The following days the integration of the athletes’ records will continue and their training sessions will begin, as well as their school activities in a hybrid way. Similarly, physical and technical evaluations are scheduled, together with their coaches and staff from the methodology area.

It should be noted that the CEDAR of Cancun will receive athletes in the modality of interns from 7 municipalities from the disciplines of Judo, Associated Wrestling, Sports Shooting and Weight Lifting.
