The Hawks close the continuity of Lou Williams

In Atlanta they maintain their unwavering commitment to continuity and once again highlight the good work done from the offices in recent years. The Hawks have closed the renewal of the three-time Sixth Man of the Year, Lou Williams, for a season and five million dollars, according to journalist Shams Charania.

The guard he joined the team in the middle of the season from the Los Angeles Clippers. In 24 games with the Hawks jersey he averaged 10.0 points and 3.4 assists in 21 minutes.

The Georgia franchise established itself as one of the positive surprises of the season after reaching the Conference Finals, landing en route to the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers. Once the feat was completed, the owner Tony Ressler warned that it would be very difficult to respond to the financial demands of the players and that some would abandon the project in the short term.

However, this warning will not be exercised immediately, as the movements made by the general manager Travis Schlenk point in the opposite direction: multimillion dollar renovations by Trae Young and John Collins, transfer by Delon Wright, Gorgui Dieng firm and, now, this new renovation.

The truth is that the premise that states that what works should not be touched has guided the last decisions of the Hawks. And, for now, the organization will keep its core of players for at least one more year.
