Another relative of the victim tried to prevent Edison from going to the stadium, but he ignored him without thinking that something could happen to him.

Authorities are now working on the process to prevent the attack from going unpunished.

“Here no one who attacks a citizen can go unpunished for his actions, he will have to answer to the public, himself, his family and the authorities,” declared the mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López.

What’s more, Mayor López was forced to take drastic measures
after the events in El Campín:

  • Nacional fans will not be able to enter any stadium in the capital for a year.
  • For the remainder of the year, the entry of visiting bars will not be allowed
  • A sanctioning process will be opened against Independiente Santa Fe for the breach of the logistical conditions.

Together, the Mayor’s Office required four additional conditions to allow the public to return to the stadiums:

  • Guarantee better registration and identification in the sale of tickets.
  • The clubs must ensure the location of the bars.
  • Each club must certify a work in projects of coexistence with the bars.
  • For the leasing or rental of stadiums, logistics, security and coordination with the Police must be guaranteed.

After the District’s decision not to allow the presence of fans in the Millonarios-Santa Fe match this Saturday, the ambassador team rejected the decision.

¨ “Millonarios FC states that it does not agree with this measure since it directly affects the institution, our subscribers and followers. We reiterate that despite not agreeing with the measure taken, it will be respected and respected,” said the institution blue in a statement.
