The Association of Spanish Footballers (AFE) has decided to file a complaint with the Labor and Social Security Inspectorate (ITSS) against the female Rayo Vallecano “due to the irregularities that involve not being registered with the Social Security, both footballers and members of the coaching staff ». The president of the AFE, David Aganzo, and female Rayo players will offer a press conference this Thursday “to assess the serious situation the squad is experiencing.”

The AFE already warned on Tuesday that it would take legal action against Rayo if “the situation of discrimination” that the players of the first team are suffering is not immediately solved. Having had no response from the president of Rayo, Raúl Martín Presa, the AFE met on Tuesday afternoon with all the members of the first team and their coaching staff and agreed to sue the Madrid club.

«We want to remember that it is mandatory for the exercise of their professional activity, in addition to the fact that breaching this right that assists them is a fraud against Social Security. The text of the aforementioned complaint will highlight, for its investigation and possible sanction, the situation of discrimination suffered by soccer players, compared to their clubmates, in relation to their working conditions in application of current legislation , appealing to RD 901/2020 ”, highlights the AFE.

“AFE makes clear in the burofax (sent to the president of Rayo) the situation of job insecurity in which footballers find themselves in the event of suffering an injury, etc., adding that Rayo Vallecano is not complying with the provisions of the collective agreement “Lamented the players’ union.
