Simmermacher improved his golf performance

Argentina Magdalena Simmermacher improved his position and climbed to 49th. place, although still far from the medal zone, with the completion of the second round of the women’s individual golf in the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.

The player from Buenos Aires, 25 years old, closed the second round with a cumulative 70 impacts (one under par on the court), with four birdies and three bogeys.

In this way, the native golfer from Pilar, located in position 399 of the world ranking, gathers a global score of 146 strokes (+4), to place 17 of the forefront, held by the North American Nelly Korda, with 129 (- 13).

Simmermacher is the first Argentine player to participate in an Olympic event, after having classified by her position in the ranking, last June.

Nelly Korda leads the positions with four shots ahead of the Danish Emily Pedersen and Nana Koerstz, as well as the Indian Aditi Ashok, all with 133 shots (-9).
