Alberto Ginés from Cáceres will represent Spain in the debut of sport climbing in the Olympic Games
Sport climbing debuts at the Olympic Games and will have Spanish Alberto Ginés as the only representative of our country. The test will start this Tuesday from 10:00 am peninsular time with its different disciplines.
Sport climbing consists of a steep ascent on a vertical wall where speed is the priority along with physical and mental strength. To achieve this, athletes rely on colorful prey, of various sizes and shapes. The wall can present variable angles with positive and negative sections (structures and overhangs). The competition is made up of three disciplines: bouldering, difficulty and speed.
Schedule and where to see sport climbing
The appointment to see the debut of sport climbing in the Games will start this Tuesday from 10.00 hours peninsular time. It can be seen on Teledeporte, RTVE Play and Eurosport 2.
