Revelation, champion of the Garupal Basketball Cup – Diario del Cesar

Showing a practical game, fueled by an excellent defensive and offensive proposal, Revelación 2000 was proclaimed champion of the Garupal Basketball Cup, by defeating the Panteras quintet 62-52.

The contest brought together the most representative teams, in the wonderful world of the basket, in Valledupar.

The Garupal Megapark was the appropriate setting to host the orange ball party, in which teams such as Choles Team, Venezuela, Nativos BC, Scorpions, Mijas Team and Rivals Team also participated.

The director of Indupal Jailer Pérez García highlighted the motivation that exists in the vallenato basketball family to reactivate this discipline in sport.

“The Garupal Cup is a clear sign that we are on the right track in this process of reopening the different recreational sports activities in Valledupar. We are pleased that this tournament has great acceptance because it helps us to continue growing as a sports city. From Indupal we will continue proposing massification strategies as an essential task to strengthen our sport and take it to the national summit ”, said Pérez.

At the end of the contest, José Rincones, president of the Nativos School, delivered a balance of satisfaction for the competitive level shown by the quintets, during the course of the tournament.

“It was a close and electrifying final, with two quintets that showed strength during the regular phases, the objective of the Garupal Cup is to strengthen our basketball, that the figures we have serve as an example for our children and that they fall in love with it from an early age sport. Grateful to Indupal for their support, we know the commitment that Jailer Pérez has with the Vallenato basketball family and that is important because it motivates us to continue working as a team to contribute to our city and see it grow in sport ”, acknowledged the sports leader.

THE FIFTH CHAMPION

The Revelation 2000 squad, directed by Biunis Moscote, is made up of Víctor Tarifa, Carlos Meriño, Ricardo Torres, Jainer Simanca, Carlos Cabrera, Mateo Freile, Jonatan Moscote, Richard Payares and Ricardo Ferias.

Organized by the Nativos School, the tournament had the support of the Municipal Institute of Sports and Recreation of Valledupar, Indupal and the Cesar Basketball League.
