Specifically, as explained by the official, members of the Ibagué Metropolitan Police (Metib) will be located at various points on Fifth Avenue, between 10th and 80th streets, to provide absolute tranquility to the people of Ibiza.

Likewise, the National Army will provide the same service, but on the dual carriageway of the Perales Airport, from the Sports Park to the vicinity of that air terminal. They will also be located on avenida 145, between the roundabouts of El Salado and Payandé, on the variant that goes to Bogotá.

“We want all people to go out to practice sports with complete peace of mind, thanks to the accompaniment of our Police and Army, so that they do not steal our bicycles or dock us on the road and that these areas of the city become the ideal space to go out. in family ”, assured the secretary.

And he added: “Have the guarantee that your police and soldiers of the country will be here making a presence, monitoring, controlling and guaranteeing order, so that their physical and recreational activities can be carried out without fear.”

Finally, Berbeo invited citizens to participate in the bike lane and exercise outdoors, as it is an activity that helps in the treatment of mental illnesses. “The best that the Mayor’s Office of Ibagué can offer for mental health is to invite young people, adults and children to go for a walk,” he said.

It should be noted that the institutional offer of Imdri is always located from 10th to 80th streets, between 8:00 in the morning and 1:00 in the afternoon, with musicalized physical activities, soccer, tennis, badminton exhibition and directed recreation to the kids.
