President Hernández inaugurates Park for a Better Life in Los Robles of the capital – Diario La Tribuna

With the purpose of generating healthy recreation and sports activity among the population, President Juan Orlando Hernández inaugurated this Monday in the Los Robles neighborhood of the capital, the Park for a Better Life “San Juan de la Cruz”, number 113 a Nacional level.

Thanks to this work, built at the initiative of President Hernández, 5,000 residents of Los Robles and surrounding neighborhoods will benefit.

The new park built in the Los Robles neighborhood, adjacent to the “San Juan de la Cruz” Catholic Church, consists of 1,125.31 square meters of construction and has an investment of 1,799470.85 lempiras.

The park has a children’s area, a synthetic grass floor, white sand, a weight training and aerobics area with a synthetic grass floor, a social area with a colored tile floor and concrete paths.

To date, the Hernández Administration has built and rehabilitated 113 Parks for a Better Life located in 17 departments of the country (Francisco Morazán, Cortés, Atlántida, Olancho, Lempira, Santa Bárbara, La Paz, Yoro, Choluteca, Comayagua, Islas de la Bahía , Copán, Intibucá, Ocotepeque, Colón, El Paraíso and Gracias a Dios).

Parks for a Better Life receive more than 350,000 visits per month.

With the Peace and Coexistence Program for the revitalization of the Parks for a Better Life, squares, schools and other spaces for coexistence, thousands of people benefit permanently with free classes in different sports and zumba disciplines, as well as cultural and cultural activities. entertainment.

Among the sports disciplines taught by federated instructors are boxing, taekwondo, karate do, fencing, athletics, basketball, muay thai and judo, among others.
