The new IPD resolution includes a total of five indicators that plan objectives and two of them refer to the Base Organizations of the tournaments. The IPD requires that all Base clubs must register in the National Sports Registry (RENADE) and then must attach the validity of the team to the PR of the current board of directors.
Due to the pandemic, the request before RENADE does not have a cost, but if a club does not carry it out, it could suffer a disaffiliation from the bases due to non-compliance with the regulations stipulated by the Federation.
“If the Badminton Federation does not comply with the IPD regulations, they cannot give you the subsidies already approved or they do not approve any subsidy or you stop receiving a greater subsidy. For example, this year the IPD rated the FDPB at the highest level , this is “Group 3” as indicated by the current regulations, (Presidency Resolution 017-2021-IPD / P) and places a total of 5 indicators and two of them are referred to the Base Organizations for the achievement of the objectives and can receive more grants “the statement read.
There have already been disaffiliations
Despite having been warned with this new change, three clubs did not make this aforementioned request, and in some cases, they did not have a participation for approximately more than 3 years.
“The FDPB has determined that the Germania club, the Piura Country Club and the China Badminton Association of Peru are separated for not complying with the compliance provisions that the IPD has indicated and in turn is not adversely affected by the sport of badminton, because these clubs are only in name and do not have athletes active in official events before the Federation “, explained.
