BOLASPORT.COM – The replacement for Maverick Vinales on the Monster Energy Yamaha team for the 2021 British MotoGP racing series at Silverstone Circuit, 27-29 August, has been officially announced.

Quoted from BolaSport.com from the official MotoGP page, the test racer aka test rider Yamaha, Cal Crutchlow, will replace Maverick Vinales at the 2021 British MotoGP.

Previously, Cal Crutchlow had already been a substitute rider for Franco Morbidelli at the Petronas Yamaha SRT in two racing series at the Red Bull Ring, the 2021 Styria MotoGP and the 2021 Austrian MotoGP.

This news at the same time undermines rumors that Valentino Rossi will return to the factory team to fill Vinales’ position.

Vinales’ presence in the Yamaha factory team has officially ended on Friday (20/8/2021).

After receiving a suspension at the 2021 Austrian MotoGP, Vinales then received an extension of the sentence at the 2021 British MotoGP.

After that, Yamaha’s management confirmed that they and Vinales had agreed to part ways earlier than the original plan, namely the end of this season.

Thus, it is certain that Vinales will be unemployed until the 2021 MotoGP world championship is completed.

Per next season, the Spaniard nicknamed Top Gun will join the Aprilia team.
