SportFEAT.com – Maverick Vinales could be threatened with not being able to join any Japanese factory team like the fate of former MotoGP racer, Max Biaggi.

The case of Maverick Vinales, who was suspected of deliberately wanting to damage a Yamaha motorcycle engine, is still being discussed.

Maverick Vinales has apologized to Yamaha.

He has also received a ban from appearing in the 2021 Austrian MotoGP yesterday.

The 26-year-old Spaniard also explained his reason for doing the gas blaster action to exceed the rev limit in such a way due to such great frustration.

Not long after this case emerged, the conundrum of Vinales’ future for the time being has been quite clear thanks to his new agreement with Aprilia starting MotoGP 2022.

However, anxiety about a career in MotoGP may still surround Vinales.

Because the case of Vinales’ dispute with Yamaha could end up being a long one and greatly affect his career in MotoGP.

He may not be accepted again by Yamaha in the next seasons.

Even not only from Yamaha, other Japanese teams such as Suzuki and Honda may also be reluctant to recruit him.

This is related to the work culture in the Japanese manufacturer itself.

This was conveyed by MotoGP observer David Noyes in the Radio Ocotillo podcast.

“Most Spanish fans still want Maverick to be able to return to Yamaha again. I have read many arguments whether what he is doing is very serious or not,” MotoGP observer David Noyes began, quoted by Sportfeat from Motosan.es.

“I’m not going to say much, but if this had happened 15 years ago, Maverick would never have ridden a Japanese factory bike again.”

“Because Japanese people are like that,” said Noyes again.

The possibility of the Maverick being blacklisted by the Japanese manufacturer is reminiscent of a similar incident that happened to the figure of former racer Max Biaggi.

Valentino Rossi’s mortal enemy in the early 2000s had made a big mistake in the Honda team, to make his career in MotoGP really come to an end.

“I remember once in 2005, Biaggi walked into the garage (after the race) annoyed with the team. There was a Honda boss from Japan who came there,” said Noyes.

“He came in and threw his motorbike on the floor in front of them all, shouted four things and then left.”

“None of the Japanese raised their voices, but since then Biaggi has been banned not only by Honda, but also by Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki,” said Noyes.

“The Japanese take this as a pretty serious problem,” he said.

It’s true that times are changing, and it’s possible that the Japanese manufacturer’s leadership will understand Vinales’ situation.

However, Vinales’ behavior could potentially reduce the team’s sense of trust in him.

Apart from that, David Noyes himself also understands Vinales’ frustration. Noyes believes Vinales did not mean to damage his M1 engine.

“What Yamaha wants is a calm environment within the team, where they now have Quartararo to chase the world title,” said Noyes.

“But if you say that Vinales sabotaged the bike by trying to damage it, I would say that is not true.”

“I consulted several technicians and now with the ignition they have and the way they work, it’s very difficult to damage the engine because of that.”

“But what makes Yamaha hurt is probably because there is a limit to the number of engines they have this season,” said Davide Noyes.
