After refusing a vaccine for COVID-19, Deputy Rick Dennison is no longer a member of the Minnesota Vikings, reports ESPN Friday.

Dennison, who had been the offensive line coach and in charge of ground play for two seasons, would be the first coach to leave his team for this reason.

The vaccine is compulsory for coaches, football operations managers, equipment managers and scouts. However, it is not for gamers.

With Dennison’s departure, the Vikings promoted offensive line assistant Phil Rauscher to coach in addition to hiring Ben Steele to replace Rauscher in his old position.
