Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has reportedly refused to sign a two-year contract extension with the Green Bay Packers during the offseason, reports ESPN Tuesday morning.

The deal would have linked Rodgers to the Packers for a total of five more seasons and made him the quarterback as well as the highest-paid player in the National Football League.

In April, ESPN reported that Rodgers was unwilling to return with the Packers due to disputes with the organization. Still, the Packers have indicated they have no plans at all to trade the three-time MVP.

Rodgers has since failed to show up for optional team activities for the first time in his career. Training camp is scheduled to start on July 28.

Rodgers, who is 37, explained that he didn’t like GM Brian Gutekunst not warning him the team was going to draft quarterback Jordan Love in 2020.
