Nele Noack is European U18 champion

She started the first fight against the French Lalie Oufoué after less than half of the fight time with Ippon. She won a waza-ari against the Italian Sara Corbo. In the pool final against the Hungarian Adel Kelemen, she had to make the golden score, but already scored after 15 seconds with Waza-ari and was thus in the semifinals.

The Austrian Emily Starzer defeated them confidently with Ippon after just 30 seconds, as did the Luxembourger Kenza Cossu after just over a minute in the final.

“At the beginning I was quite nervous and the start was a bit bumpy,” she said, critically assessing the start of the competition. “But then I found my way into the competition better and better and in the end it was just great,” the newly crowned European champion beamed happily.

National coach Sandra Klinger is very satisfied with the result of the competition day. “Nele did a great competition and found out about fighting. She then became more stable from fight to fight and the last two fights were absolutely sovereign. With that she more than deserved to win the European Championship. “

The other German fighters Krystian Liwocha, Arthur Akopjan and Lena Djeriou were eliminated after the first fight. Likewise Joel Mathieu Dittmann and Fiona Fischer, who won their first fight, but were eliminated with the second fight.

In the first two days of the competition, the German athletes won gold and bronze. “With these two medals we had a good start to the European Championships,” says Sandra Klinger.
