NBA News – Lakers star LeBron James mocks ESPN poll

In a ESPN– Survey of ten scouts and executives from the NBA, LeBron James did not receive a single vote as the current best player in the league. The King then scoffed at the results of the survey on social media.

In an Instagram story, James responded with numerous, heartily laughing emojis and the hashtag “WashedKing”. On Twitter he increased this hashtag to “Superwashed” before he wrote: “Thank you very much! As if I didn’t need more motivation.”

In the survey by ESPN When asked about the currently best player in the NBA, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant received the only votes, LeBron received nothing. Both the reigning champion and the Nets star each got five votes from the ten anonymous scouts and executives.

According to Tim Bontemps of ESPN, who conducted the survey, several respondents considered giving their vote to the Lakers star for a long time before choosing Durant or Giannis.

Bontemps cited LeBron’s age as the deciding factor, the four-time champion will be 37 years old in December. Last season he missed large parts of the season for the first time in his career due to injury. Prior to his ankle injury in March, he was traded as one of the MVP candidates. Ultimately, he put up 25 points, 7.8 assists and 7.7 rebounds in 45 games in the regular season.
