Mexican archery team stood out in Tokyo by winning a bronze medal

Luis ‘Abuelo’ Álvarez also began his fight to get a second medal at the Olympic Games, but succumbed to the Japanese Takahuru Furukawa in the 32nd finals.

Also in the individual activity, Aida Román lost the possibility of taking a medal, after in the round of 32 she was eliminated by the British Bryony Pitman.

Goalkeeper Ana Paula Vázquez did not have the expected wisdom in her debut in the individual tournament, as she was eliminated in the first round when she fell against Brazilian Ane Marcelle Dos Santos.
