Masters 1000 Cincinnati 2021: Zverev sweeps Rublev in an hour and proclaims champion in Cincinnati

Nor there was a movie. Alexander Zverev returned to exercise his dominance at the Masters 1000 to win the final in Cincinnati against Andrey Rublev (6-2, 6-3).

Not an hour lasted the grand final in the men’s box (59 minutes). Zverev made merits from the beginning to win what is the fifth Masters 1000 of his career. Rublev was once again on task to beat a rival he had never beaten.. The Russian tennis player did it against his compatriot Medvedev, but from the beginning he was outmatched on the scoreboard.

With a 4-0, the seed number three of the tournament appeared, in a set dawn in which he barely gave his rival options. With a clear 6-2 he closed his sleeve in just 28 minutes the German.

With difficulties started the second chapter for Rublev, who again gave up his serve in the first game.. Zverev put the direct and was placed with 5-2 and serve to win the game. He proudly threw the world number seven to cut one of the two handicap breaks, but he would lose his serve again in the ninth game to give up definitively. Thus, Zverev consumes a spectacular curriculum that amounts to 17 titles and is running as one of the favorites to take the last ‘big’ it’s from the season.
