Marcelo Flores called up by Mexico Sub 20, after receiving permission from Arsenal

Mexico takes an important step to convince Flores to stay with El Tri; what the combined of Canada and England want

Marcelo Flores, Arsenal player, was called up by the Mexican Under 20 National Team, once he received permission from the Gunners, to do the tour of Europe with the team led by Luis Pérez.

The Mexican Under 20 team received the endorsement for Marcelo Flores to join the team that will travel to Europe to do a tour of Spain, where he will face the local team twice.

Flores was wanted by the Mexican National Team on several occasions, but the injuries and restrictions of the pandemic kept the promise of Arsenal from Tricolor away.

This summer, Raúl Chabrand’s Under 21 Mexican National Team looked for Marcelo Flores, but it was decided that he would go with Luis Pérez’s team, so that he would not have the restrictions that are related to trips from England to Mexico.

The 17-year-old footballer is one of the figures of Arsenal and is disputed by the national team of Canada and England, although in the Tricolor there is the confidence that it opts for Mexico. The attacker has that possibility, because it has all three nationalities.

Flores will join Luis Pérez’s team in Alicante, Spain, since he has the permits from Arsenal and will not have the difficulties that the pandemic has caused, since the two commitments will be played on European territory.

The battle for the Arsenal midfielder has been intense in recent months, as Canada has repeatedly sought him out and even placed him on the Gold Cup pre-list.
