This weekend took place in Riom, the French outdoor archery championships. Over distances varying according to the age category and the type of bow used, no less than 575 archers lined up between Friday and Sunday.
The 1st Cahors archery company was represented by a referee Thérèse Droui, and by an archer Denis Nivart who exercised his talents in the Senior 3 compound bow category, shooting at a target located at 50 m equipped with a coat of arms. 80 cm in diameter where only the central colors remain, allowing only scores from 6 to 10 to be counted.

Finishing 5th at the end of the qualifications, Denis took part in the finals and brilliantly finished on the third step of the podium winning the bronze medal.
Denis Nivart will compete in the French Field Archery Championships which will take place from August 4 to 6, in Semezanges, in Côte-d’Or.
We hope that despite a difficult year due to sanitary conditions, Denis can shine the colors of Cahors and bring back a new medal.
