List of 12 Indonesian Badminton Coaches Abroad

Currently there are 12 trainers badminton Indonesia which handles nine different countries in the world. The following is a list of 12 Indonesian badminton coaches abroad.

Indonesia is not only known as one of the Asian countries for producing the best badminton athletes, but Indonesia is also capable of producing world-quality coaches.

Now there are at least 12 coaches from Indonesia who handle nine different countries in the world. In Asia, there are Hendrawan, Flandy Limpele, Paulus Firman, and Indra Wijaya who are currently coaches in Malaysia, Mulyo Handoyo in Singapore, Rexy Mainaky in Thailand, and Namrih Suroto in India.

Meanwhile on the European continent, there is Imam Teguh who coached Finland, Davis Efraim in Ireland, Didi Purwanto in Hungary, and Indra Bagus in Belgium. And finally there is Muamar Qadafi who coached Guatemala.

Recently, Muamar Qadafi’s name emerged after successfully bringing Guatemalan men’s single Kevin Gordon to qualify for the bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Unfortunately, Muamar Qadafi and Gordon failed to win a bronze medal after losing to Indonesian men’s singles Anthony Sinisuka Ginting in the bronze medal match at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Qadafi claimed to have handled Guatemala in two periods, 2009-2010 and 2017 until now.

“The first period is from 2009 to 2010. The second period is 2017 until now,” said Qadafi quoted from Badminton Asia.

The coach from Solo also revealed that Guatemala was the third country he handled after Peru and Mexico.

“At that time, the Peruvian coach from China wanted to resign. The coach told my friend that he needed someone to continue his duties,” recalled the man born October 30, 1981. Finally in 2005, Qadafi decided to leave PB Djarum and fly to Peru.

“After I took Peru to the 2006 Pan Am Junior Championships, it was a competition like the Junior Championships in Asia, people slowly started to recognize me,” said Qadafi.
