Unfortunately, Muamar Qadafi and Gordon failed to win a bronze medal after losing to Indonesian men’s singles Anthony Sinisuka Ginting in the bronze medal match at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Qadafi claimed to have handled Guatemala in two periods, 2009-2010 and 2017 until now.
“The first period is from 2009 to 2010. The second period is 2017 until now,” said Qadafi quoted from Badminton Asia.
The coach from Solo also revealed that Guatemala was the third country he handled after Peru and Mexico.
“At that time, the Peruvian coach from China wanted to resign. The coach told my friend that he needed someone to continue his duties,” recalled the man born October 30, 1981. Finally in 2005, Qadafi decided to leave PB Djarum and fly to Peru.
“After I took Peru to the 2006 Pan Am Junior Championships, it was a competition like the Junior Championships in Asia, people slowly started to recognize me,” said Qadafi.
