Liga Femenina today: Nacional defeated Bucaramanga and is still involved in the fight | Colombian Soccer | Women’s Football

Atlético Nacional beat Atlético Bucaramanga 0-1, for the fifth date, in group B in the 2021 Women’s League. The purslanes worked throughout the game to achieve the result, they held off the counterattacks and with a goal from Fernanda Agudelo, they resumed the path winner that put them in the fight for the classification together with DIM-FI and Deportivo Cali.

Starting the match, both teams had options to score, Manuela González at minute 6 sent the ball to the right vertical, the Santander women responded on minute 11 with a counterattack that had no effect.

Nacional did not give up and continued attacking on the ‘auriverde’ goal thanks to a couple of shots from Manuela González and one from Yisela Cuesta, who from the left sector near the area finished crossed, goalkeeper Franyeli Rodríguez with great performance cleared, and on the rebound, Kendri Renteria could not define calmly.

Despite the intense heat in the Alfonso López stadium, Nacional controlled the ball and dominated the actions of the game. Bucaramanga endured and bet on counterattacks, which were very sporadic and lacked power when defining.

In the complementary stage, Nacional made two changes, Fernanda Agudelo and Mariana Muñoz entered instead of Kendri Renteria and Valeria Tangarife. The purslanes kept pressing and attacking in the rival field, the locals defended themselves by increasing players in their own field.

Such was the insistence of Nacional, that at minute 33, Fernanda Agudelo took advantage of a succession of passes and after a foray through the left sector of Lizeth Ocampo, the ’10’ purslane with right leg, sent the ball to the back of the net in a shot that was with effect on the upper right corner, unapproachable for the Venezuelan goalkeeper Rodríguez.

With the goal, Nacional remained firm in attack, Bucaramanga tried to get out of the pressure, but his attack attempts were unsuccessful. The last minutes were dynamic, more because of what the visitors did than because of the work of the locals. In the case of the ‘auriverdes’, they made several changes, looking for offensive alternatives, while, in the purslanes, they made specific changes maintaining the game scheme.

In the end, Nacional resumed the winning path with an offensive improvement despite the lack of specificity. Bucaramanga endured what he could, but his elaboration flaws continued, which have taken their toll on him throughout the group’s matches, with the chores being pointless after five games played.

On the next date, Atlético Bucaramanga visits Deportivo Cali, while Atlético Nacional will face Real Santander in Piedecuesta.
