Latvian record in skydiving has been set – Jauns.lv

It was carried out by 29 parachutists, creating a figure at a height of 5.2 kilometers.

“Today we rewrote the history of Latvia’s parachuting. The record was set by 29 leading paratroopers from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, who have been preparing for a year and waiting for 13 years. Trainings and team work allowed us to show the best performance, “said Edgars Veigurs, Chairman of the Board of the Latvian Parachuting Federation.

The previous attempt at the Latvian record took place 13 years ago with 27 jumpers.

Skydiving training and competitions at Liepaja Airport will continue throughout the week. On August 27 and 28, the Latvian championship in five disciplines will take place there.
