LaMarcus Aldridge back in the NBA?

April 15 LaMarcus Aldridge surprised everyone by announcing his retirement following a heart problem detected during a match. His heartbeat was irregular and it got worse over the hours. After passing extensive exams, he decided to take no chances and end his career.

However, Woj reports that he would be seriously considering a return to the NBA. Indeed, the news of his health is good and he would have received the green light to resume. He is expected to meet with teams in the coming weeks and make a decision about resuming his career.

A few weeks ago he spoke of his depression.

“I’m depressed and I’m trying to figure out how to deal with the fact that I’m no longer competing on the floors, I’m learning not to be depressed. I still love basketball. I still feel that I still have a lot to give. I’m still trying to find myself. When you do something you’ve loved for so long and lose it overnight, it’s a shock. Even though I knew it was the right decision, the next few days I had a lot of interaction with my family, my agent, the Nets, and they supported me no matter what. They were frank and I thought they were great, they said to me: ‘You decide, we don’t know what you feel and how you feel, so we are going to buy into your decision.’ I thought that was great of them. I never felt any pressure to come back or make a decision based on the season. It was always, ‘We fully understand what you’re going through, and so if that’s what you want to do, you have our support.’ It was difficult because I felt like I was in a place and with a team that understood me. I adopted them. We all had a common goal and we wanted to prove something. It was a bitter taste to me. I had finally found the cohesion that I had been looking for for some time in a group. And then all of a sudden, I can’t play anymore. I felt that if I had stayed with the group we could definitely have reached the finals and done something special. These guys supported me just as much as I supported them. That’s what makes the game fun, when you have a bunch of selfless guys and everyone is cheering each other on doing good things. ” LMA
