The UEMC Real Valladolid Baloncesto today announced the hiring of two new reinforcements: the Dutch Jordy Kuiper and the Burgos Fernando Revilla, who signs as ‘fifth’ man in the inner game to give greater depth to the rotation of tall men in training, covering any incident, eventuality or unforeseen event.
For his part, Kuiper arrives to bring his versatility, centimeters and power to the team’s inner game. The Dutchman, who can play in different positions, knows Spanish basketball and stands out for his physical conditions and character on the court.
Born on June 2, 1995 in Groningen, the Netherlands, Kuiper is 2.06 meters tall. His training had a boost when he was part of the Canarias Basketball Academy in Tenerife, and later began his career in 2013 at the UNC Greensboro Spartans of the University of North Carolina, in the United States. There, each season he improved his figures, scoring, in 2017/2018, an average of 7.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, more than 27 minutes, and a rating of 8.6.
As a professional, he made the leap to Grindavik, in Iceland, where he scored an average per game of 16.9 points and a valuation of 18.7, which helped Cáceres to take his services to play the LEB in the 19-20 season. In that course Kuiper played 23 games, 24 minutes per game, and an average of nine points, five rebounds and a PIR of 10.2, being an important player of a team that was in playoff position until the competition was suspended for the pandemic.
