Kortrijk alone at the top of the championship after his victory in Antwerp (0-1)

With a curled shot in the 87th minute, Faiz Selemanie scored the only goal of the game.

On the Antwerp side, newcomer Viktor Fischer of Denmark made his Great Old debut, but the first half went scoreless, although the best chance came with a shot from Switzerland’s Michael Frey out by Kortrijk goalkeeper Marko Ilic.

In the second half, Fischer gave himself a big opportunity as soon as the restart stumbled against the goalkeeper of Flandriens. Kortrijk in turn approached the Antwerp goal and Gueye saw his header nicely captured by Jean Butez, the Antwerp goalkeeper, ten minutes from time.

But it was only part postponed for Kortrijk who found the opening through his defender Selemanie.

In the standings, Kortrijk has six units and is ahead of Standard, Charleroi, Club and Cercle de Bruges as well as Sint-Truiden with 4 points. Already beaten in Mechelen (3-2) at the opening, Antwerp is, on the contrary, the only team not yet to have a point.

The Gantoise and the Beerschot, who shared the stake Sunday in the early evening (1-1), have a unit just like Genk, Anderlecht and Zulte Waregem.
