“KD mentally penetrated me, he hurt me”

Kevin Durant quickly became one of, if not the best player on the planet after his long Achilles tendon injury. A player has been so impressed, and so helpless in the face of KD, that he had the impression of being mentally penetrated!

The case Kevin Durant asked many questions at the start of last season, not least because of his terrible Achilles tendon injury. Was he going to return to his best level? Could he continue the meetings? .. But as an immense player, the Nets winger dispelled the questions in a few weeks… He came back with his offensive address, his dribbles, his dunks, and he can again claim as the best player on the planet.

This status, he also fully assumed during the Olympic Games. Despite the collective difficulties encountered by Team USA at the start of the tournament, he has always been constant, and he grew in strength over the days, until the apotheosis during the final against the Blues. His 21 points in the first half put a hell of a blow on the head of Vincent Collet’s men!

And this domination, he also showed it during the playoffs. Deprived of James Harden then Kyrie Irving, injured, KD had to carry the Nets on his shoulders during the series against the Bucks… And he went just a few centimeters from the feat… Jrue Holiday may be NBA champion, he still does not recover from the Durant show . He explained himself at length in JJ Redick’s podcast.

Mentally, it was exhausting playing against Kevin Durant in the playoffs. For the simple reason that we were doing everything in our power to stop it, and it wasn’t working. With Kevin Durant, it’s like… It’s weird what I’m going to say, but he mentally penetrated me, he hurt me.

Physically I was in pain. Everyone was tired. In fact in Game 7, we can see that Kevin Durant too is exhausted. Both teams left everything on the pitch. After this series I told everyone that we had to win the title. We had tried too hard for that.

Kevin Durant was arguably the most difficult obstacle for the Bucks on the road to the title, which is to say his talent. Even Jrue Holiday, one of the best defensemen in the NBA, had no choice but to recognize the extreme superiority of the Nets star! And if Kyrie Irving and James Harden also start to mentally penetrate their opponents, Brooklyn could do a lot of damage.

After a cruel end to the season for him and the Nets, Kevin Durant should return with a surplus of motivation next season… Which is a bad omen for the competition!
