Japanese robot dazzled during halftime of Olympic Games basketball game

During the halftime show of the basketball game between the United States and France teams at the Tokyo Olympics, a robot caught all eyes after making perfect scores from the center of the court.

The humanoid robot is called CUE and was built by the Toyota company.

The moment went viral on social networks after seeing the robot making precise throws to the basket and seeing it move with the wheels that it carries in the lower part in addition to its black design and its height of just over two meters.

The first robot in this series was launched in 2018 and the third (CUE3) managed to set a Guinness record for making the most basketball free throws by a humanoid; It was 2020 shots that hit their target for six and a half hours.

Many people who saw the video wondered if in the future we will be able to see basketball games between robots. However, the company has been clear in stating that these robots were designed by the automaker in their spare time and are not intended to be future substitutes for professional basketball players.
