Ben Simmons has reportedly largely ceased communications with the Philadelphia 76ers. He should also ignore calls from Joel Embiid. Meanwhile, the Warriors have reportedly resumed Guard trade talks with the Sixers.
Like Jason Dumas from KRON4 News reported from the Bay Area that the 25-year-old stopped communicating with almost everyone in the Sixers organization. Now everything runs only through his agent Rich Paul.
According to the report, even Joel Embiid was unable to reach his (still) teammate. According to information from Dumas, Simmons should not have taken calls from the Sixers star and did not call back. Embiid is said to have tried several times to reach him after the disappointing end of the Sixers in the second playoff round – as a result of which Embiid and Head Coach Doc Rivers had publicly criticized Simmons.
According to Dumas, the relationship between the triple all-star and the franchise is deteriorating every day and is beyond saving. The point guard therefore prefers a trade to California, for example he should be open to a trade to the Golden State Warriors. A change to the Toronto Raptors or Portland Trail Blazers, on the other hand, is not on his wish list.
Brandon Robinson (Bally Sports) According to the Warriors have even resumed talks with the Sixers about a potential Simmons deal. Philadelphia is therefore “extremely motivated” to make a trade.
Most recently it was said that Sixers boss Daryl Morey would demand an enormous amount of money consisting of at least four future first-round picks and a player at all-star level. But he would have to move away from that.
Conversely, Golden State reportedly rejected a package around Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman and the # 7 and # 14 picks in the 2021 draft for Simmons at the end of July.
