Hopefully I will win them all

World number 5 Alexander Zverev has admitted that his next goal is to win his first Grand Slam title. The 24-year-old Zverev won his first gold medal on Sunday after beating Karen Khachanov 6: 3, 6: 1 in the final of the Tokyo Olympics.

At the age of 24, Zverev is already one of the most accomplished players on the tour. Zverev also has four Masters titles in its collection and the 2018 Nitto ATP Finals title. Zverev was close to winning his first Grand Slam title at the US Open last year, but lost a lead of two in the final Sentences against Dominic Thiem.

When asked which Grand Slam he would most like to win, Zverev said: “Hopefully everyone.”

Zverev is now planning to take a break as he will try to get fresh to the US Open.

After winning the gold medal, Zverev said: “It’s so much bigger than anything else in sport, especially tennis – that’s an incredible feeling for me right now. There is nothing like that.

You don’t just play for yourself, you play for your country and the Olympics are the greatest sporting event in the world. The feeling that I have and will have now, nothing will be better. “

Zverev won the last four sets at the Tokyo Olympics when he recovered from losing the first set in the semifinals to Novak Djokovic and then beating Khachanov in straight sets.

“Those four sets were pretty decent,” joked Zverev and hit the comeback after a disadvantage of one set against Djokovic and the straight-set win against Khachanov. “I could always hit the ball pretty hard – it was more on the court this week, I think,” he said, adding later, “All tennis experts and ex-players have always seen other guys are better than me. I have now won 16 tournaments, four Masters 1000, the ATP Finals and a gold medal. ”
