Hertha is now planning to sign a new goalkeeper! Because the former number 1 Rune Jarstein (36) is still far from operational after his corona illness.
In memory of: Jarstein was infected with the British variant of the corona virus at the end of March and had to spend several days in hospital. He then fell ill with an inflammation of the heart muscle and was unable to do any sport until a few days ago, let alone exercise. Now the Norwegian got the green light from the doctors and is back again. Coach Pal Dardai (45): “We have to carefully build it up first.”
Means: Since Jarstein (contract until 2023) could not do any sport for more than four months, it will now take at least a quarter of a year until he is really fit again.
Too long for Hertha!
Because if regular goalkeeper Alexander Schwolow (29) injures himself, there are problems. Substitute man Nils Körber (24) has no Bundesliga experience and is also a little too small for a No. 1 (1.86 m).
Therefore, another goalkeeper should be signed.

Requirement profile: Experienced, big, well versed in football and confident in mastering the penalty area.
