Madagascar is one of the states and / or governments that have made a commitment in principle to participate in the Games of La Francophonie DRC / Kinshasa 2022, from August 19 to 28, 2022 in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The Big Island has also pre-registered for six sports in which it intends to participate, out of the nine on the program. According to the information gathered, Madagascar plans to take part in 13 events, namely, women’s athletics, men’s athletics, women’s basketball, men’s football, women’s handisport athletics, men’s handisport athletics, women’s judo , men’s judo, African women’s wrestling, African men’s wrestling, women’s freestyle wrestling, men’s freestyle wrestling and table tennis.
Note that according to the official calendar, the sports selections are held from July 1 to April 30, 2022, except for athletics which will end on July 1, 2022.
For judo in particular, “As of March 1, 2022, the CIJF, in collaboration with the IFJ, will select the states or governments qualified to participate in the judo competition of the IX Games. The methods of selecting judokas are specified in the specific regulations. The file manager must propose a list of judokas to the CIJF before March 1, 2022. The CIJF will then send the list of qualifiers. States and governments will have to confirm their judoka participation via a definitive administrative registration before May 19, 2022 ”, we learned.
