Former CEO of the NFL channel and ESPN takes over as president of Genius Sports

enius Sports announced that Steve Bornstein He will join as President of North America: He will direct the company’s activities in the United States and Canada. He will take over immediately. He held prominent positions in the Sports, Media and Consulting sectors.

In 1990, at age 38, Bornstein became ESPN’s youngest president and CEO. He oversaw the launch of ESPN2, ESPN News, ESPN Radio, ESPN Classic, ESPN International, ESPN The Magazine, ESPY, and X-Games. He also created popular shows like College GameDay, NFL PrimeTime, and Baseball Tonight.

He is also known for his tenure as president, CEO, and founder of the NFL Network. He continues to act as a senior consultant to The Raine Group, a merchant bank advising and investing in technology, media and telecommunications.

An active philanthropist, he is the founder and president of The V Foundation, which raised more than $ 335 million for cancer research on behalf of the late college basketball coach and ESPN analyst Jim Valvano.
