FC Bayern: Joshua Kimmich’s future seems to have been decided

Negotiations about a new contract between FC Bayern and its stars have recently been anything but successful.

Defender David Alaba first left the club in the summer for free and moved to Real Madrid, after the Munich and the Austrians had differed widely in terms of salary expectations.

It was also recently announced that the talks with midfield star Leon Goretzka, whose contract expires next summer, will be on hold, and that money will also be the problem here. There were also rumors that Kingsley Coman (contract until 2023) should demand a salary of 20 million euros if it is extended. A sum that would be difficult to cope with even for the record champions in times of pandemic.

And even with Kimmich’s midfield partner Leon Goretzka, after a few weeks of radio silence, the signs are again on extension. Talks about an extension have resumed, according to “Bild”.

Talks resumed: DFB star could switch to BVB

But the contract of the 29-year-old European Championship participant expires next summer and so far it does not look like the full-back will stay with RB beyond June 30, 2022. That is …
