Holder of a two-way contract, Yves Pons had the opportunity to make a name for himself during the summer leagues. And it seems that the Frenchman knew how to seize his chance! He has indeed received superb news about his future, not long ago.
Non-drafted, Yves Pons did not however have to go far. Trained at the university of Tennesse, the Haitian by birth found a base in Memphis, for which he played in the Summer League. Obviously, the tricolor interior has lost none of its superhuman explosiveness! Not necessarily ultra-dominant in attack, Pons however showed very good predispositions in defense, especially in circle protection. And it seems that was enough to convince the Grizzlies! Indeed, the leaders have decided to give the Frenchy another chance, as it was revealed recently.

If we do not yet know the details of the contract, we can assume that it is a ten-day lease, renewable if the guy proves himself. In any case, this is excellent news for Yves, whose hustle and athletic style quickly charm fans of the franchise. If he manages to seize his chance, he could end up integrating a young and ambitious squad for a long time. Difficult to find better!
