Chelsea and Tottenham leave each other as good friends, Hakim Ziyech double scorer

In front of a beautiful atmosphere at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea faced Tottenham for their last friendly match before playing the European Supercup against Villarreal (August 11 at 9 p.m.). After leading 2-0 thanks to a brace from Hakim Ziyech, Thomas Tuchel’s men were finally caught by the Lilywhites (2-2). It was the Spurs who attacked first in this meeting with a strike from Heung-Min Son, well deflected by Edouard Mendy (4th). Very restless during the first act, Hakim Ziyech scored the Blues’ first goal after a good recovery from N’Golo Kanté (16th).

The attacking midfielder could also have been a decisive passer on the achievement of Timo Werner (25th), but the goal was unfairly refused for an imaginary offside. The Moroccan international then made the break for his family by deceiving the new Tottenham recruit Pierluigi Gollini with a cross strike (49th), before the former Parisian Lucas Moura reduced the mark a few minutes later on a deflected strike ( 56e). The Dutch Steven Bergwijn gave him the two teams equal with a strike between the legs of the Senegalese goalkeeper (70th). A good result for the Nuno Espirito Santo players, a week before another London derby against Arsenal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for their final preparation match for the upcoming Premier League season.
