Slowly into the qualifying final.
Mario Götze (29) has reached the final of the Champions League group stage with PSV Eindhoven. At the Danish club FC Midtjylland there was a late 1-0 on Tuesday (scorer: Bruma (90 + 3)) in the semi-final second leg of the premier class qualification. PSV had already won the first leg 3-0 including a Götze goal.
As in all previous games of this young season (four goals in five games), Götze was one of the assets in the game of the Dutch. After 76 minutes, the 2014 World Cup hero was allowed to leave the field and take it easy.
The first leg of the qualifying final is already next week. The opponent then is likely to be Portugal’s top club Benfica Lisbon (2-0 first leg win against Spartak Moscow) with Götze’s ex-BVB buddy Julian Weigl (25).
