Brazil will host the FIBA AmeriCup 2022 to be played from September 2-11 next year.
The FIBA AmeriCup, the continent’s most important basketball competition, will hold its 19th edition of the men’s tournament one year after its original date due to the postponement due to the covid-19 pandemic. The tournament returns to Brazil for the first time since 1984, when it was held in São Paulo and FIBA Hall of Famer Oscar Schmidt led the hosts to gold.
