Juan José Rovira is the new coach of Club Atlético Atenas for the next DTA 2021. In addition, the “toad” will be in charge of an important training project from January 2022.
The project will begin with the start of the DTA for the senior squad, where Atenas is one of the animators of the tournament. After that, he began to work from the training categories, in a task that is not alien, since he also knew how to do it in Biguá, before being its main coach.
Period that lasted 2 years after taking office in the 2018/19 season, where he reached the quarterfinals. Then in the choppy 2019/20 season due to Covid-19, he could not enter the playoffs and that ended up taking him away from office.
As for roster, the black wings have not yet decided names for the DTA. There are many names in the crosshairs, where several of them are contesting El Metro 2021, but there is still nothing assured, except who will be the commander of the team.
